General Rental Conditions
Managed by Adil Car Rentals (Authorized Commercial Representative)
1. Vehicle State & Maintenance
Upon pickup, the client acknowledges the vehicle is in good working order and clean. The client is responsible for:
- Verifying tires are in good condition (Client pays for punctures or abnormal tire damage).
- Ensuring the mechanical integrity of the car; damage caused by negligence is the client's sole responsibility.
- Maintaining the vehicle's odometer seal. Violation of the seal will result in financial penalties.
2. Usage Restrictions
To maintain safety and insurance validity, the following are strictly prohibited:
- Leaving the territory of Morocco without explicit written authorization.
- Transporting passengers for profit or using the vehicle for towing.
- Driving on unpaved roads or terrains not suitable for the vehicle type.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that impairs driving.
3. Insurance & Accidents
The vehicle is insured for fire, theft, and third-party liability (Responsabilité Civile).
- Mandatory Procedure: In the event of any accident, the client MUST provide a friendly settlement form (Constat Amiable) or a report from the Police/Gendarmerie. Without this document, the client is liable for all damages.
- The Franchise (Deductible): A standard insurance franchise of 20% of the damage value applies to all claims.
- Personal Items: Clothing and personal objects left inside the car are not covered by the insurance. The client is their own insurer for personal belongings.
4. Payments & Cancellation
- Rental fees are prepaid. No refunds will be issued for early returns of the vehicle.
- Extensions: If the client wishes to extend the rental, they must obtain written agreement from the agency 24 hours in advance and pay the extra amount immediately.
- Late Returns: A 24-hour delay in returning the vehicle results in the client being considered an "abusive possessor," subject to legal penalties and additional daily charges.
5. Documents & Repairs
The client must return all vehicle documents (Registration, Insurance, etc.). Loss of documents will result in charges while duplicates are being processed.
Repairs: No repairs may be performed on the vehicle by the client without written consent from Adil Car Rentals. Only authorized repairs with valid receipts will be considered.
6. Jurisdiction
In case of dispute, the competent courts will be those of the Kingdom of Morocco (specifically Tangier jurisdiction unless otherwise stated).
